Therapist administration time will follow to allow for planning and session scheduling.
After the initial appointment, your therapist will complete further assessment with your child. You may also be sent assessments/forms to be completed before your child's next session. The therapist will discuss with you what assessments they are wanting to complete and why.

Assessment is an important part of the process! It will allow your therapist to know exactly where to start in regards to intervention with your child. Assessment allows for more specific and direct intervention. Re-assessment will also be completed to determine if the intervention worked! This usually occurs after a 6-12 month period.
Following the assessment process, intervention will commence! Your therapist will discuss assessment results, intervention plan and session schedule, before commencing therapy.

We know at Sensory Heroes that it takes a village to support an individual with their goals! That is why it is so important that all stakeholders who are supporting your child should be all on the same page. That is why we highly recommend getting together at least twice a year with all stakeholders to discuss these goals and outcomes.
